Globe Valve - this type of valve is used to regulate the flow and stop fluids or gas. It has round body and unobstructed channel for the liquid to flow easily. In this way, the valve is circular and has a disc inside that when opened will retract away from the flow path allowing liquid to pass through it unobstructed. When the valve closes, it moves back to a closed position such that disc of this valve is nearest from seat and thus blocks liquid or gas flow.
There are two types of operation mechanisms available for globe valves: handled and automatic. In the case of a manual valve, there is an operator that requires to rotate with handle or wheel in order open closed respectively. This means there needs to be somebody who at least knows how it should function. If the valve is automatic, a machine or actuator does this movement for you; therefore it can open and close itself based on certain circumstances.
Valve Body Material: the valve body should be in a strong and appropriate material. If the liquid is harmful or corrosive, then pumps made from stainless steel. This material will be less affected and save your product.
Disc Type: The type of disc in the valve plays a part in how well it performs. There are also two types of discs flat and angled as shown. For viscous liquids a flat disc is wonderful for control, however, if it's merely low viscosity you should use an angled rounded disc. The type you need will vary depending on the liquid.
Part of Valve Stem: The stem sits inside the valve to aid in moving the disk down and up. The stems can go up or stay level (rising vs. non-rising). For some applications, it is useful that rising stems can be seen whilst in motion. Non-rising stems, however, are great for really tight spots.
B Dimensions: Also, the valve size is another important factor which should be taken into account. If you do, it has to fit the size of liquid that needs to go on through. A small valve can slow down the flow of liquid, and a big one may waste energy (and you know... money).
They Can Actually Be Used in Several Systems: Globe valves are very versatile, and can be used for residential plumbing to LARGE commercial HVAC systems. These are outstanding option for regulating the flow of either liquid or gas and they feature a flexibility to adapt.
